  • Another famous adventurer to hike up was the famous Capetonian, Lady Anne Barnard
  • Before the Cableway was established, the only way up Cape Town’s iconic mountain was by foot

  • The Cableway has transported over 24-million people to the summit of Table Mountain
  • More than 800 people can enjoy the trip every hour and customers visit from around the world to take it South Africa’s iconic coastline and mountain

The Experience:

Table Mountain in South Africa is older than the Andes, the Alps, the Rocky Mountains and the Himalayas, so a visit to this iconic mountain is not only breath-taking but historical. The recognisable mountain along Cape Town’s coastline is one of the most identifying features of the cosmopolitan city, and what better way to enjoy the stunning panorama than up the cableway?

Table Mountain is a World Heritage Site and National Park and the area enjoys beautiful flora and fauna and the views from the top are unmatched. From the top you can see the 12 Apostles mountain range, Robben Island, the infamous prison that held Nelson Mandela, as well as Mitchell’s Plain where the Cape Flats gets its name.
